Digital workspace


A digital workspace is an integrated framework that facilitates the centralized management of end user computing (EUC) applications, data and endpoints. Vendors such as VMware, Microsoft and Citrix are unifying their portfolios of EUC products and marketing them as "digital workspaces," "unified workspaces" or "virtual workspaces." 


Digital workspaces centralize end user resources and deliver the right resources to the right end user through a cloud-based console. A unified framework makes it easier for information technology (IT) administrators to deliver, manage and secure resources for end users, no matter what type of device they are using. 


Digital workspaces are policy-driven. One of the central principles in establishing a perimeterless digital workplace is that the network alone does not determine which services a user can access. Instead, contextual data gathered from the device and the user's credentials dynamically determine the appropriate access. 


The delivery of resources through a digital workspace portal permits single sign-on (SSO) and secure file-sharing across an organization's endpoints. Some enterprise-level digital workspace offerings may also include the following capabilities: 
  • App and desktop virtualization.
  • Enterprise mobility management (EMM)
  • Mobile device management (MDM) and mobile application management (MAM)
  • Secure access to software as a service (SaaS) apps.
  • Secure browsing.
  • Advanced analytics and monitoring.

Normalization of Database

Database Normalisation is a technique of organizing the data in the database. Normalization is a systematic approach of decomposing tables to eliminate data redundancy and undesirable characteristics like Insertion, Update and Deletion Anamolies.
